Website and instances

On our website (oikei.net) and our instances, no IPs or User Agents are stored in any way, including logs for our web server, nginx. We do not make any attempt to store any user data, and specifically configure our services to store as little data as possible.

Matrix

Upon making an account on our Matrix homeserver, Synapse (the Matrix homeserver software) stores the user's information encrypted in a database on our server. We don't look at your information in this database nor share it with anyone. IP addresses are automatically logged for administrative purposes such as banning abusive IP addresses from creating accounts. We won't use the logged IP addresses for any other purpose.
